House File 2426 - Enrolled House File 2426 AN ACT RELATING TO THE INSPECTION OBLIGATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF INSPECTIONS, APPEALS, AND LICENSING ASSOCIATED WITH HOTEL SANITATION. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: Section 1. Section 137C.12, Code 2024, is amended to read as follows: 137C.12 Inspection upon complaint. Upon receipt of a verified complaint signed by a guest of a hotel and stating facts indicating the place is in an insanitary condition, the regulatory authority shall conduct an inspection. The inspector may enter the hotel at any reasonable hour to make the inspection. The management shall afford free access to every part of the premises and render all
