A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

     SECTION 1.  Act 38, Session Laws of Hawaii 2017, as amended by section 8 of Act 8, Special Session Laws of Hawaii 2021, is amended by amending section 5 to read as follows:

     "SECTION 5.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval[; provided that this Act shall be repealed on June 30, 2024]."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on June 29, 2024.

 

 

Report Title:

UH; Technology Transfer; Sunset Repeal

 

Description:

Permanently authorizes the University of Hawaii to continue to regulate conflicts of interest and other ethical issues for technology transfer activities sponsored by the University of Hawaii.  Takes effect 6/29/2024.  (CD1)
