Bill Title: Reinserts the contents of the bill as introduced, but provides that a school district shall require all attendance centers to have present during the school day and during a school-sponsored extracurricular activity on school grounds at least one automated external defibrillator (instead of a school district shall require a school to have present at the school during the school day and during a school-sponsored extracurricular activity at least one automated external defibrillator and one or more trained AED users).

AN ACT concerning education.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
10-20.87 and 34-18.85 as follows:
(105 ILCS 5/10-20.87 new)
Sec. 10-20.87. Automated external defibrillator;
attendance centers and extracurricular activities.
(a) As used in this Section, "automated external
defibrillator" has the meaning provided in the Automated
External Defibrillator Act.
(b) A school district shall require all attendance centers
to have present during the school day and during a
school-sponsored extracurricular activity on school grounds at
least one automated external defibrillator.
(c) An automated external defibrillator installed and
maintained in accordance with the Physical Fitness Facility
Medical Emergency Preparedness Act may be used to satisfy the
requirements of this Section.
