2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Bernard C. Douville, formerly of | ||||||
4 | Waukegan, who passed away on January 18, 2013; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Bernard Douville was born on July 4, 1914, in | ||||||
6 | Stephenson, Michigan; his parents were Harry and Mary Ellen | ||||||
7 | (Landree) Douville; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Bernard Douville moved to Illinois in 1937 to work | ||||||
9 | for the Johns-Manville Corporation, where he retired after 40 | ||||||
10 | years of service; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Bernard Douville was a proud member of the United | ||||||
12 | States Army, serving in China, Burma, and India during World | ||||||
13 | War II; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Bernard Douville was a member of the Knights of | ||||||
15 | Columbus #731, the J-M Quarter Century Club, the Waukegan | ||||||
16 | Senior Club, and the St. Dismas Men's Club; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Bernard Douville was an avid sports fan, | ||||||
18 | particularly of the Green Bay Packers; he also enjoyed cruises | ||||||
19 | and traveling the world; and

1 | WHEREAS, Bernard Douville was preceded in death by his | ||||||
2 | wife, Evelyn C. Douville; his sister, Irene Danielson, and his | ||||||
3 | brothers, Gordon and Orlin Douville; and

4 | WHEREAS, Bernard Douville is survived by his daughter, | ||||||
5 | Judith Dobnikar; his sister, Rosellen Munto; and his many | ||||||
6 | nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
9 | his family and friends, the passing of Bernard C. Douville; and | ||||||
10 | be it further
| ||||||
11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
12 | presented to the family of Bernard Douville as an expression of | ||||||
13 | our sympathy.
