AN ACT
amending title
9, chapter 4, article 8, arizona revised statutes, by adding section 9-500.48;
relating to cities and towns.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 9-500.48, to read:
9-500.48. Utility service;
vacant buildings; prohibition; definition
A. a municipality may not adopt an
ordinance that requires a property owner to provide utilities to a vacant
building.
B. For the purposes of this section,
"vacant building" means a building that has been vacant and unused
for at least two years.
