SENATE BILL 1092

 

 

AN ACT

 

providing a rulemaking requirement exemption for rules relating to correctional officer minimum age.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Exemption from rulemaking; Arizona peace officer standards and training board

For the purposes of adopting a rule related to the minimum age requirement for a correctional officer who is employed by the state department of corrections, the Arizona peace officer standards and training board is exempt from the rulemaking requirements of title 41, chapter 6, Arizona Revised Statutes, for one year after the effective date of this act.

Sec. 2.  Emergency

This act is an emergency measure that is necessary to preserve the public peace, health or safety and is operative immediately as provided by law.
