   An act relating to Compton Community College.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 2150, as introduced, Hall. Compton Community College:
accreditation.
   Existing law establishes the California Community Colleges under
the administration of the Board of Governors of the California
Community Colleges as one of the segments of public postsecondary
education in the state. Existing law provides for the establishment
of community college districts throughout the state, including the
Compton Community College District. Existing law specifies various
procedures to address the risk that Compton Community College's
accreditation will be terminated by the regional accrediting body
recognized by the board of governors.
   This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to address the accreditation of Compton Community
College.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to address the accreditation of Compton Community
College.
