AN ACT CONCERNING PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR PROPOSED HEALTH INSURANCE RATE INCREASES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require the Insurance Department to hold a public hearing for a proposed health insurance rate increase.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow more public input on proposed health insurance rate increases.
