AN ACT PERMITTING AND TAXING THE RETAIL SALE OF MARIJUANA.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to permit the retail sale of marijuana and tax such sale to raise revenue for the General Fund and to fund substance abuse treatment, prevention, education and awareness programs.

Statement of Purpose:

To permit the retail sale of marijuana and tax such sale to raise revenue for the General Fund and to fund substance abuse treatment, prevention, education and awareness programs.
