AN ACT CONCERNING CONSOLIDATION OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Social Services and other state agencies that contract for services with private providers to consolidate services to eliminate excessive administrative costs resulting from the number of such providers.
Statement of Purpose:
To attain greater efficiencies and cost containment in the delivery of services by private nonprofit providers.
