AN ACT REPEALING THE LAW ALLOWING PERSONS WITHOUT LEGAL IMMIGRATION STATUS TO BE CLASSIFIED AS AN IN-STATE STUDENT FOR TUITION PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 10a-29 of the general statutes be amended to repeal the provision classifying certain persons without legal immigration status as in-state students for tuition purposes.

Statement of Purpose:

To require persons without legal immigration status to pay full-price tuition at the Connecticut public institutions of higher education.
