AN ACT CONCERNING THE AVERAGING OF MUNICIPAL REVALUATIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 12-62 of the general statutes be amended to permit municipalities to average the current revaluation and previous revaluation when calculating the grand list if the previous revaluation was conducted in the last five years, unless the municipality opted to defer or cancel the previous revaluation.

Statement of Purpose:

To permit municipalities to average current and prior revaluations in calculating the grand list.
