AN ACT PROHIBITING THE MANDATED USE OF A UNIFORM ELECTRONIC VERIFICATION SYSTEM FOR MEDICAID-FUNDED HOME CARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Department of Social Services from mandating the use of a single, uniform electronic verification system for home care providers if the provider already uses a system in compliance with federal law.
Statement of Purpose:
To remove burdensome administrative costs for providers of home care.
