Summary

Revises distribution of funds from Invest in Children license plate; replaces term "nonsecure detention" with "supervised release" & defines it; removes mandatory detention for youth arrested 3 times in 60-day period; removes criteria no longer applicable with detention risk assessment instrument; requires DJJ to hold prolific juvenile offender in secure detention pending detention hearing following certain violations; removes consequence unit; allows youth who violate conditions of probation to be detained based on detention risk assessment instrument score; removes scheduled repeal of DJJ DSO.
