Summary

Revising the Chief Inspector General's subpoena authority to include issuing and serving subpoenas for all executive branch agencies; providing that agency inspectors general report to the Chief Inspector General; prohibiting a Cabinet officer from preventing or prohibiting the inspector general from taking action on an audit or investigation; providing that complaints or allegations regarding the office of inspector general be submitted to the Chief Inspector General, rather than the agency head, etc.
