A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT


To amend Code Section 15-16-13 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to authorization of law enforcement contracts with municipalities, reimbursement, employment and expenditures, and exception, so as to change the provisions relative to population brackets and the census regarding the exception to such Code section; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Code Section 15-16-13 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to authorization of law enforcement contracts with municipalities, reimbursement, employment and expenditures, and exception, is amended by revising subsection (f) as follows:
"(f) This Code section shall not apply to any county of 800,000 900,000 population or more according to the United States decennial census of 2000 2010 or any future such census."

SECTION 2.
This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2012.

SECTION 3.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
