A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to the university laboratory school.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Section 5 of Act 111, Session Laws of Hawaii 2015, as amended by Act 55, Session Laws of Hawaii 2016, is amended to read as follows:

     "SECTION 5.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015[, and]; provided that sections 2 and 3 shall be repealed on July 1, 2020[; provided that section 302D-34, Hawaii Revised Statutes, shall be reenacted in the form in which it read on June 30, 2015]."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on June 30, 2020.

UH; University Laboratory School; Enrollment Policy

 

Description:

Makes permanent the law exempting the University Laboratory School from the public charter school enrollment policy so that it may conform its student enrollment profile to the standard prescribed by the University of Hawaii college of education in order to meet college's research requirements.
