A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to the pm zipper lane.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  (a)  The department of transportation shall conduct a study that reevaluates the costs and feasibility of constructing a zipper lane along the H-1 freeway in the westbound direction for use during the afternoon hours.

     (b)  The department of transportation shall submit a report of its findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2020.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
