A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO PROCUREMENT.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The legislature finds that state public works projects can be delivered in a more efficient manner by increasing the effective use of state resources.  The state procurement office and the public works division under the department of accounting and general services are collaborating to develop and implement innovative project delivery methods.  These efforts promote procurement efficiency, program success, and government accountability.

     The purpose of this Act is to provide funding for innovative project delivery training, development, and consulting services.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $        or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2020-2021 for innovative project delivery training, development, and consulting purposes.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
