A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO MILILANI TECHNOLOGY PARK.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The Hawaii technology development corporation shall enter into negotiations to acquire the properties identified as Tax Map Keys: (1) 9-5-046:041 and (1) 9‑5‑046:042, parcels that are within or near Mililani Technology Park; provided that the purchase price shall not exceed the appraised value of the properties as appraised by the Hawaii technology development corporation.
SECTION 2. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2019-2020 for the purchase of the properties identified as Tax Map Keys: (1)9-5-046:041 and (1) 9-5-046:042, parcels that are within or near Mililani Technology Park, to facilitate the redevelopment of those parcels for community benefit and the benefit of the Mililani Technology Park.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii technology development corporation for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. The appropriation made in section 2 of this Act for the purchase of property authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal biennium for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation unencumbered as of June 30, 2022, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2112.
