1.
The
department
of
public
safety
shall
convene
and
provide
3
administrative
support
to
a
work
group
to
study
the
issue
4
of
information
sharing
between
county
medical
examiners
and
5
the
Iowa
division
of
criminal
investigation
criminalistics
6
laboratory
relating
to
deceased
drivers
involved
in
motor
7
vehicle
accidents.
The
membership
of
the
work
group
shall
8
consist
of
the
president
of
the
Iowa
association
of
county
9
medical
examiners
or
the
president’s
designee,
three
county
10
medical
examiners
representing
different-sized
counties,
11
the
state
medical
examiner
or
the
state
medical
examiner’s
12
designee,
a
member
of
the
Iowa
funeral
directors
association,
13
a
member
of
the
Iowa
state
sheriffs
and
deputies
association,
14
a
member
of
Iowa
peace
officers
association,
the
drug
policy
15
coordinator
of
the
governor’s
office
of
drug
control
policy
16
or
the
drug
policy
coordinator’s
designee,
the
director
of
17
the
department
of
transportation
or
the
director’s
designee,
18
the
commissioner
of
the
department
of
public
safety
or
the
19
commissioner’s
designee,
and
the
director
of
the
department
of
20
public
health
or
the
director’s
designee.
The
director
of
the
21
department
of
public
health
or
the
director’s
designee
shall
22
serve
as
chairperson
of
the
work
group.

The
work
group
shall
submit
a
report
of
the
findings
24
and
recommendations
of
the
work
group
to
the
governor
and
the
25
general
assembly
by
December
16,
2020.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does

This
bill
creates
a
work
group
to
study
information
shared

between
county
medical
examiners
and
the
Iowa
division
of

criminal
investigation
criminalistics
laboratory
relating
to

The

of
the
department
of
public
health
or
the
