S.F. 95 Section 1. Section 331.301, subsection 6, paragraph c, Code 1 2019, is amended by striking the paragraph. 2 Sec. 2. Section 331.304, subsection 12, Code 2019, is 3 amended by striking the subsection. 4 Sec. 3. Section 364.3, subsection 3, paragraph c, Code 2019, 5 is amended by striking the paragraph. 6 Sec. 4. Section 364.3, subsection 12, Code 2019, is amended 7 by striking the subsection. 8 EXPLANATION 9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 11 This bill strikes statutory prohibitions of counties and 12 cities from adopting an ordinance, motion, resolution, or 13 amendment that sets standards or requirements regarding the 14 sale or marketing of consumer merchandise that are different 15 from, or in addition to, any requirement established by state 16 law. 17 The bill also strikes statutory prohibitions of counties and 18 cities from adopting, enforcing, or otherwise administering an 19 ordinance, motion, resolution, or amendment providing for any 20 terms or conditions of employment that exceed or conflict with 21 the requirements of federal or state law relating to a minimum 22 or living wage rate, any form of employment leave, hiring 23 practices, employment benefits, scheduling practices, or other 24 terms or conditions of employment. 25 -1- LSB 1591XS (3) 88 je/rn 1/ 1
