Bill Title: Amends the Election Code. Provides that a statement of candidacy shall include a telephone number and email address, if any, for the candidate. Provides that a candidate seeking countywide office in Cook County shall include at least 5,000 but not more than 10,000 signatures in the candidate's petition for nomination (rather than the number of signatures equal to 0.5% of the qualified electors of his or her party who cast votes at the last preceding general election in Cook County). Amends the Revised Cities and Villages Act of 1941. Provides that each petition for nomination for mayor, city clerk, and city treasurer for the City of Chicago shall include at least 5,000 but no more than 10,000 signatures of legal voters of the city.
