Amends the Property Tax Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Property Tax Appeal Board.

1 AN ACT concerning revenue.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing
5Section 7-5 as follows:
6 (35 ILCS 200/7-5)
7 Sec. 7-5. Creation of Property Tax Appeal Board. The The
8Property Tax Appeal Board shall consist of 5 members appointed
9by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate. The
10Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall
11designate one of the members as Chairman. The Property Tax
12Appeal Board shall be totally independent of the Department. A
13vacancy on the Board shall be filled in the same manner as
14original appointments are made.
