225 ILCS 10/5.15 new

Amends the Child Care Act of 1969. 1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by adding
5Section 5.15 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 10/5.15 new)
7 Sec. 5.15. Active shooter plan for child care facilities.
8On or before January 1, 2020, the Department, in consultation
9with the Department of Public Health, shall adopt rules that
10require child care facilities to implement an emergency action
11plan for an active shooter scenario.
12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13becoming law.
