Bill Title: Amends the Metropolitan Transit Authority Act. Provides that the Chicago Transit Authority shall not operate, or cause to be operated, a rapid transit train unless it has an operating crew consisting of at least 2 individuals. Provides that "operate" includes all movement of a rapid transit train, regardless of whether passengers are aboard.

1 AN ACT concerning local government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Metropolitan Transit Authority Act is
5amended by adding Section 37b as follows:
6 (70 ILCS 3605/37b new)
7 Sec. 37b. Rapid transit train; crew size. The Authority
8shall not operate, or cause to be operated, a rapid transit
9train unless it has an operating crew consisting of at least 2
10individuals. As used in this Section, "operate" includes all
11movement of a rapid transit train, regardless of whether
12passengers are aboard.
