Bill Title: Amends the Department of State Police Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that moneys held in the State Police Firearm Services Fund, the Mental Health Reporting Fund, and the Firearm Dealer License Certification Fund for use by the Illinois State Police shall be neither used nor transferred to another fund for a purpose other than as specifically provided by law.

SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
20 ILCS 2605/2605-597 new

Amends the Department of State Police Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that moneys held in the State Police Firearm Services Fund, the Mental Health Reporting Fund, and the Firearm Dealer License Certification Fund for use by the Illinois State Police shall be neither used nor transferred to another fund for a purpose other than as specifically provided by law.

1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Department of State Police Law of the Civil
5Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section
62605-597 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 2605/2605-597 new)
8 Sec. 2605-597. State Police Fund lockbox. Notwithstanding
9any provision of law to the contrary, moneys held in the State
10Police Firearm Services Fund, the Mental Health Reporting Fund,
11and the Firearm Dealer License Certification Fund for use by
12the Illinois State Police shall be neither used nor transferred
13to another fund for a purpose other than as specifically
14provided by law.
