| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Robert F. | ||||||
| 4 | "Bobby" Melko of Des Plaines, who passed away on October 9, | ||||||
| 5 | 2018; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Bobby Melko was born on May 11, 1956; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Bobby Melko was the proud owner of Bishop | ||||||
| 8 | Plumbing; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Bobby Melko was
an Eagle Scout from Boy Scouts of | ||||||
| 10 | America Troop 22 in Des Plaines; he was also a Vigil Honor | ||||||
| 11 | Member
of the Order of the Arrow and was involved in Scouting | ||||||
| 12 | as an Assistant Scoutmaster,
Scoutmaster, and Committee | ||||||
| 13 | Chairman; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Bobby Melko knew that supporting Scouting took | ||||||
| 15 | more than dollars; in addition to raising funds, he helped | ||||||
| 16 | revive the George Meany Service Award in 2015; he was | ||||||
| 17 | instrumental in starting the Building Tech program that | ||||||
| 18 | connected unions with Scouts attempting to earn merit badges; | ||||||
| 19 | and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Bobby Melko was the beloved son of Robert and the | ||||||

| 1 | late Nancy Melko; the loving brother of Shirley Melko, Sophie | ||||||
| 2 | (Casey) Hudson, and Stacy (Brad) Goble; the cherished uncle of | ||||||
| 3 | David (Kim), Rob (Brandi), Sara, Kailah, Andrew, and Bradley | ||||||
| 4 | Jr.; great-uncle to Thomas; and dog father to Buster and Oakum; | ||||||
| 5 | therefore, be it

| 6 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 7 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 8 | we mourn the passing of Robert F. "Bobby" Melko and extend our | ||||||
| 9 | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew | ||||||
| 10 | and loved him; and be it further
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 12 | presented to the family of Bobby Melko as an expression of our | ||||||
| 13 | deepest sympathy.
