| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Menard
County Farm | ||||||
| 4 | Bureau on the occasion of its 100th anniversary; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, The Menard County Farm Bureau is a not-for-profit | ||||||
| 6 | membership organization dedicated to
educating community | ||||||
| 7 | leaders, legislators, consumers, and schools about | ||||||
| 8 | agriculture; it strives to
enhance opportunities for its | ||||||
| 9 | members to improves their farms and businesses; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, The Menard County Farm Bureau believes it is | ||||||
| 11 | important to help promote agriculture throughout the county and | ||||||
| 12 | does this by donating time, resources, and money to local | ||||||
| 13 | organizations, groups, and events that promote agriculture | ||||||
| 14 | throughout the
county; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, The Menard County Farm Bureau was formed to | ||||||
| 16 | promote the development of the most profitable
and sustainable | ||||||
| 17 | system of agriculture possible in the county and to help with | ||||||
| 18 | the educational, social, and financial
welfare of its | ||||||
| 19 | inhabitants; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, The Menard County Farm Bureau has a Young Leader | ||||||
| 21 | committee that provides services to the
community; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, The Menard County Farm Bureau provides $1,000 | ||||||
| 2 | scholarships to high school
seniors with an interest in | ||||||
| 3 | agriculture through its foundation; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, The Menard County Farm Bureau's current mission | ||||||
| 5 | statement is: Enriching our community
through contributions to | ||||||
| 6 | agriculture; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The Menard County Farm Bureau is affiliated with | ||||||
| 8 | the Illinois Farm Bureau; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, The Menard County Farm Bureau has been a staple in | ||||||
| 10 | Menard County since its founding; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 12 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 13 | we congratulate the Menard County Farm Bureau on 100 years of | ||||||
| 14 | service to Menard County, and we wish them many more successful | ||||||
| 15 | years; and be it further
| ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to the Menard County Farm Bureau as a
symbol of our | ||||||
| 18 | esteem and respect.
