| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Martin F. Victor on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of his 100th birthday; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Martin Victor was born on August 4, 1919 and
is a | ||||||
| 6 | widower of Adeline Jacques Victor, his loving wife; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Martin Victor is a World War II veteran; he served | ||||||
| 8 | as a Private 1st Class and was stationed in France and Belgium | ||||||
| 9 | in Unit 614, Medical Clearing Company; during his time in the | ||||||
| 10 | service, he received a Good Conduct Medal and a sharp shooter | ||||||
| 11 | accommodation; after serving his country, he received an | ||||||
| 12 | honorable discharge; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Martin Victor is a longtime resident of Steger and | ||||||
| 14 | is an active parishioner of St. Liborius Church in Steger; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Martin Victor is a retired machinist; he is a | ||||||
| 16 | generous person and always helps anyone that he possibly can; | ||||||
| 17 | he has loved to play golf for most of his life and was a scratch | ||||||
| 18 | golfer as a young man; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, August 4, 1919 marks a significant day to | ||||||
| 20 | celebrate, a centenary of having an incredible individual on | ||||||

| 1 | this earth; Martin Victor's inspiration is motivation for | ||||||
| 2 | everyone; he has defied all odds through many historic events | ||||||
| 3 | and endless scenarios of both triumphs and tribulations; | ||||||
| 4 | therefore, be it

| 5 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 6 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 7 | we congratulate Martin F. Victor on his 100th birthday and hope | ||||||
| 8 | that it is filled with the same immense joy he shared with his | ||||||
| 9 | loved ones for 100 years, and we wish him good health, joy, | ||||||
| 10 | happiness, amazing grace, and perfect peace of mind; and be it | ||||||
| 11 | further
