Bill Title: Amends the Civil Practice Article of the Code of Civil Procedure. Repeals provisions regarding: election for periodic payment; special findings required; calculation of future damages; basis for determining judgment to be entered; payment of periodic installment obligations; form of security; posting and maintaining security; equivalent lump sum value; effect of death; liability insurance policy limits; assignment of periodic installments; exemption of benefits; settlement agreements and consent judgments; satisfaction of judgments; and duties of Director of Insurance. Effective immediately.

Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
repealing Sections 2-1705, 2-1706, 2-1707, 2-1708, 2-1709,
2-1710, 2-1711, 2-1712, 2-1713, 2-1714, 2-1715, 2-1716,
2-1717, 2-1718, and 2-1719.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
