415 ILCS 5/11.2 new

1 AN ACT concerning safety.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Environmental Protection Act is amended by
5adding Section 11.2 as follows:
6 (415 ILCS 5/11.2 new)
7 Sec. 11.2. Pesticide applicators; beekeepers. A pesticide
8applicator shall notify a beekeeper, as that term is defined
9under Section 1a of the Bees and Apiaries Act, if the pesticide
10is applied within 3 miles of the beekeeper's colony registered
11with the Department of Agriculture under the Bees and Apiaries
12Act.
13 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January
