AN ACT concerning safety.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Environmental Protection Act is amended by
adding Section 11.2 as follows:
(415 ILCS 5/11.2 new)
Sec. 11.2. Pesticide applicators; beekeepers. A pesticide
applicator shall notify a beekeeper, as that term is defined
under Section 1a of the Bees and Apiaries Act, if the pesticide
is applied within 3 miles of the beekeeper's colony registered
with the Department of Agriculture under the Bees and Apiaries
Act.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January
1, 2021.
