SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
415 ILCS 5/55a new

Amends the Environmental Protection Act. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Environmental Protection Act is amended by
5adding Section 55a as follows:
6 (415 ILCS 5/55a new)
7 Sec. 55a. Used tire collection program.
8 (a) A nongovernmental entity may sponsor a used tire
9collection program if the nongovernmental entity follows all
10State laws and Agency rules regarding used tire collection.
11 (b) The Agency shall set up drop-off locations throughout
12the State for used tire collection programs under this Section.
13 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January
