SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, During the 100th General Assembly, Senate Joint
3Resolution SJ0054 created the Southwest Illinois Connector
4Task Force to study the cost, feasibility, and environmental
5impact of the proposed four lane divided highway, the short and
6long term economic impact to the region, and all options for
7funding both public and private; and
8 WHEREAS, The Southwest Illinois Connector Task Force was to
9make recommendations to the General Assembly and the Illinois
10Department of Transportation by December 31, 2018; and
11 WHEREAS, The Southwest Illinois Connector Task Force needs
12additional time to complete its work; therefore, be it
13 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
15CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Southwest Illinois Connector Task
16Force shall make recommendations to the General Assembly and
17the Illinois Department of Transportation as required by Senate
18Joint Resolution SJ0054 no later than December 31, 2019; and be
19it further
20 RESOLVED, That with this extension, the Southwest Illinois
21Connector Task Force shall continue to operate as provided
