SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 36
2 WHEREAS, The State Board of Education has filed its Report
3on Waivers of School Code Mandates, dated February 28, 2019,
4with the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the
5Secretary of State of Illinois as required by Section 2-3.25g
6of the School Code; therefore, be it
7 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
9CONCURRING HEREIN, that the waiver request made by Dalzell
10Grade School District #98, identified in the report filed by
11the State Board of Education as request WM100-6567, is approved
12for previously approved non-resident students; for purposes of
13this resolution, "previously approved non-resident student"
14means:
15 (a) A non-resident student that was enrolled under
16 waiver request WM100-5714; and
17 (b) A sibling, who lives in the same household, of a
18 non-resident student that was enrolled under waiver
19 request WM100-5714; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That the approval of waiver request WM100-6567 in
21this resolution does not have application to non-resident
22students first enrolled in the district after the expiration of
23waiver request WM100-5714 (2018-2019 school year).
