SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Eugene M. Backys of Waukegan, who passed
away on May 1, 2019; and
WHEREAS, Eugene Backys was born in Waukegan to Jerome and
Frances (Grobelch) Backys on April 5, 1948; and
WHEREAS, Eugene Backys was a lifelong resident of Waukegan;
and
WHEREAS, Eugene Backys was preceded in death by his
parents; and
WHEREAS, Eugene Backys is survived by his wife of 48 years,
Lorraine (Madura) Backys; his brother, Donald J. (Ann) Backys;
his many nieces and nephews; and his extended family and
friends; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Eugene M. Backys and extend our sincere condolences to his
family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
