SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rosemarie Farr, who passed away on April
426, 2019; and
5 WHEREAS, Rosemarie Farr was born in Chicago to Eliseo and
6Lupe (Navaraite) Viramontes on August 22, 1936; she married
7Jerome "Jerry" Farr at St. Joseph Church in Waukegan on August
813, 1960; and
9 WHEREAS, Rosemarie Farr worked as a teacher's aide in
10Waukegan; and
11 WHEREAS, Rosemarie Farr was president of the Lake County
12Chapter of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the American G.I. Forum;
13she worked tirelessly to provide college scholarships to
14deserving Hispanic students; she devoted her life to children,
15her own, her nieces and nephews, and her students; and
16 WHEREAS, Rosemarie Farr is survived by her children,
17Brendamarie (the late Rafael Gonzalez) Farr, Andrea (Steve)
18Farr Capizzi, Stephen Scott Farr, and Jerome Brien (Patty
19Cordova) Farr; her siblings, Manuel (Afra) Viramontes, Ricardo
20(the late Eunelia) Viramontes, Clara Engel, Joseph Hernandez,
21and Virginia Fuentes; her grandchildren, Kristen Grace Farr

1Capizzi, Riley James Capizzi, Logan Dean Capizzi, Cynthia
2Hernandez, and Ivan Cordoba; her friend, Debbie; and her many
3nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
4 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Rosemarie Farr and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
9 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Rosemarie Farr as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
