SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Rosemarie Farr, who passed away on April
26, 2019; and
WHEREAS, Rosemarie Farr was born in Chicago to Eliseo and
Lupe (Navaraite) Viramontes on August 22, 1936; she married
Jerome "Jerry" Farr at St. Joseph Church in Waukegan on August
13, 1960; and
WHEREAS, Rosemarie Farr worked as a teacher's aide in
Waukegan; and
WHEREAS, Rosemarie Farr was president of the Lake County
Chapter of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the American G.I. Forum;
she worked tirelessly to provide college scholarships to
deserving Hispanic students; she devoted her life to children,
her own, her nieces and nephews, and her students; and
WHEREAS, Rosemarie Farr is survived by her children,
Brendamarie (the late Rafael Gonzalez) Farr, Andrea (Steve)
Farr Capizzi, Stephen Scott Farr, and Jerome Brien (Patty
Cordova) Farr; her siblings, Manuel (Afra) Viramontes, Ricardo
(the late Eunelia) Viramontes, Clara Engel, Joseph Hernandez,
and Virginia Fuentes; her grandchildren, Kristen Grace Farr

Capizzi, Riley James Capizzi, Logan Dean Capizzi, Cynthia
Hernandez, and Ivan Cordoba; her friend, Debbie; and her many
nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Rosemarie Farr and extend our sincere condolences to her
family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Rosemarie Farr as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
