Summary

Create a new section of the Medical Assistance Act to require that a burial reserve of up to $10,000 be excluded from consideration as a resource or asset in determining a Medicaid applicant's or recipient's eligibility for Medicaid; require the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to take any steps necessary to implement the section and provide a status report to the Interim Joint Committee on Banking and Insurance upon request.
