1.2honoring Jack Paulson, Research Analyst, Senate Counsel, Research and Fiscal
1.3Analysis, on the occasion of his retirement and thanking him for his years of dedicated
1.4service to the Minnesota Senate.
1.5WHEREAS, Jack's service and extensive contribution to state policy making are exemplary
1.6and deserving of special legislative recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, Jack began working for the Minnesota Senate as a Research Analyst in
1.8November 1982; and
1.9WHEREAS, Jack has provided invaluable expertise in the areas of tax law and data modeling
1.10to countless tax committee chairs, members, and others in his 36-year career; and
1.11WHEREAS, Jack is highly respected by the Department of Revenue's professional staff,
1.12counties, cities, school districts, businesses, and all Minnesotans who follow taxes and tax law; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Jack Paulson on the occasion of his retirement, and thanks and commends him for
1.15his decades of exceptional, dedicated service to the state of Minnesota.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.17copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature, that of the Majority and
1.18Minority Leader, that of the Chair and Ranking Minority Member of the Senate Committee on
1.19Taxes, and that of the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to
1.20Jack Paulson.
