AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO DOROTHY JONES OF AMITE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Dorothy Jones of Amite County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of her conviction for embezzlement in Amite County, Mississippi, on October 6, 2003, to complete five (5) years probation.  She was discharged from probation on January 4, 2007, and has completed the penalty and any conditions imposed upon her for such conviction.  The Legislature has been reliably informed that she is now conducting herself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
