AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO SIDNEY HARRINGTON SMITH III, OF HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Sidney Harrington Smith III, of Harrison County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction in 1996, for one (1) count of receiving stolen property out of state, as a result of his conviction for one (1) count of grand larceny in 1998 in Harrison County, and as a result of his conviction for two (2) counts of grand larceny in 1999, in Harrison County, Mississippi.  He has completed the penalties and any conditions imposed upon him for such convictions and was fully discharged in 2014.  The Legislature has been reliably informed that he is now conducting himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
