RESOLUTION 2018-9

HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 1100

 

 

A JOINT RESOLUTION to confirm the appointment of Myra L. Griffin to the north carolina industrial commission.

 

Whereas, G.S. 97‑77(a1) provides that appointments by the Governor to the North Carolina Industrial Commission are subject to confirmation by the General Assembly; and

Whereas, a vacancy has occurred due to the resignation of Linda Cheatham; and

Whereas, the Governor wishes to appoint Myra L. Griffin to the North Carolina Industrial Commission to fill the term of Linda Cheatham, as a commissioner representing employers; Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

 

SECTION 1.  The appointment of Myra L. Griffin of Durham County to a term on the North Carolina Industrial Commission, to expire on April 30, 2022, is confirmed.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 29^th day of June, 2018.
