A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT designating the twentieth day of December of each year as state employees' and teachers' appreciation day.
Whereas, State employees and teachers make North Carolina a great State by serving the public every day; and
Whereas, the General Assembly encourages all cities and counties of this State to honor State employees and teachers on December 20th of each year during State Employees' and Teachers' Appreciation Day; Now, therefore,
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Chapter 103 of the General Statutes is amended by adding a new section to read:
"§ 103‑15. State Employees' and Teachers' Appreciation Day.
The twentieth day of December of each year is designated as State Employees' and Teachers' Appreciation Day in North Carolina."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
