A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT directing the department of cultural resources to study the FEASIBILITY of DESIGNATING the endor Iron FURNACE as a State historic site and appropriating funds to complete the study.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The Department of Cultural Resources shall study the feasibility of designating the Endor Iron Furnace as a State Historic Site or a Grassroots Science Museum. The Department shall submit the results of its study to the 2011 General Assembly upon its convening.

SECTION 2.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Cultural Resources the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) for the 2010‑2011 fiscal year to be used to complete the study authorized in Section 1 of this act.

SECTION 3.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2010.
