A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to the board of governors of the university of north carolina to be allocated to north carolina state university to restore private funds for the master gardener program, the center for environmental farming Systems, the j.c. raulston arboretum, and the north carolina pesticide safety education program.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina the sum of two hundred thirty-eight thousand one hundred fifty dollars ($238,150) for the 2010‑2011 fiscal year to be allocated to North Carolina State University to be used to restore the following accounts which contained private funds: Master Gardener program, the Center for Environmental Farming Systems, the J.C. Raulston Arboretum, and the North Carolina Pesticide Safety Education Program.  The funds shall be allocated as follows:

(1)        $48,878 shall be allocated to restore the Master Gardener program account.

(2)        $12,485 shall be allocated to restore the Center for Environmental Farming Systems account.

(3)        $88,239 shall be allocated to restore the J.C. Raulston Arboretum account.

(4)        $88,548 shall be allocated to restore the North Carolina Pesticide Safety Education Program account.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2010.
