A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT TO ESTABLISH A SEASON FOR THE TRAPPING OF FOXES IN Wayne COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, there is an open season for taking foxes with the use of rubber jaw or foothold traps from January 2 through February 28 of each year.

SECTION 2.  No season bag limit applies to foxes taken under this act.

SECTION 3.  The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission shall provide for the sale of foxes taken lawfully pursuant to this act.

SECTION 4.  This act applies only to Wayne County.

SECTION 5.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
