HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 24

A JOINT RESOLUTION to confirm the appointment of Yolanda Stith to the north carolina industrial commission.

Whereas, G.S. 97‑77 provides that appointments by the Governor to the North Carolina Industrial Commission are subject to confirmation by the General Assembly; and

Whereas, a vacancy has occurred due to the resignation of Commissioner William Daughtridge; and

Whereas, the Governor wishes to appoint Yolanda Stith to the North Carolina Industrial Commission; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

SECTION 1.  The appointment of Yolanda Stith to a term on the North Carolina Industrial Commission, to begin immediately upon confirmation for the remainder of the unexpired term of William Daughtridge and for a full term in accordance with G.S. 97‑77, is confirmed.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.
