A JOINT RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE 2009 GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO CONSIDER A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE COURT SHALL NOT REVOKE THE PROBATION OF A FIRST TIME DRUG OFFENDER WHO IS PARTICIPATING IN A DRUG EDUCATION PROGRAM IF THE DEFENDANT IS CHARGED WITH ANOTHER CRIME UNLESS THE DEFENDANT IS CONVICTED OF THE ADDITIONAL CRIME.
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
SECTION 1. The 2009 General Assembly may consider "A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE COURT SHALL NOT REVOKE THE PROBATION OF A FIRST TIME DRUG OFFENDER WHO IS PARTICIPATING IN A DRUG EDUCATION PROGRAM IF THE DEFENDANT IS CHARGED WITH ANOTHER CRIME UNLESS THE DEFENDANT IS CONVICTED OF THE ADDITIONAL CRIME."
SECTION 2. This resolution is effective upon ratification.
