SYNOPSIS

     Requires any POW-MIA flag purchased with State funds be manufactured in United States.

An Act concerning the purchase of POW-MIA flags with State funds and amending P.L.2009, c.86.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    Section 1 of P.L.2009, c.86 (C.52:32-1a) is amended to read as follows: 

     1.    Any flag of the United States, POW-MIA flag, or flag of the State of New Jersey purchased with State funds shall be manufactured in the United States.

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill would require that any POW-MIA flag purchased with State funds be manufactured in the United States.  Under current law, any flag of the United States of America or flag of the State of New Jersey purchased with State funds should be manufactured in the United States.
