Under current law, a vehicle may not have more than two emergency warning lights.  Current law provides that emergency warning lights are to consist of a low profile light bar of the strobe, halogen or incandescent type, or a combination of these lights.    This bill provides that a LED light also may be used in emergency warning lights.  The chief administrator is required to promulgate rules and regulations specifying the type of light that may be used in emergency warning lights and requires the inclusion of a low profile light bar of the LED, strobe, halogen, or incandescent type, or a combination of these lights.
